Bangkok Day 2

December - the month of joy, happiness and an end to the year. Personally, I deemed Christmas as the key highlight of December. Even though I'm not a Christian, I'm fully aware that Christmas is a day to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. With that being said, I prefer to take it as a day of secular celebrations where gifts and greetings are exchanged. Tagged along to this special day are the fanciful decorations that I really adore and the Christmas carols conquering almost all the shopping malls that you ever visit. This is a day when you ought to spend some quality time with your loved ones. For me, perhaps I will be joining my friends' Christmas party and I bet it will be a hell loads of fun than to spend it alone.

An abrupt update of my life: Things have been smooth sailing so far and within this short time frame of 2 weeks after my break-up, I've met a handful of valuable friends and ever since I am never short of a supper buddy! Hehe!! Thank god for sending me all these lovely people into my life. I am counting my blessings, that there are still a bunch of people who will go the extra mile to make me feel so special and loved. Thank you all!

Okay, back on track, it is Bangkok day 2. Woke up early in the morning and took a Tuk Tuk to a local seafood restaurant for lunch. How can we ever say no to their signature Tomyum soup when we're in Bangkok! Based on inspection, it might seem dangerously hot but it still falls short under my threshold for spicy food. In general, the food was mediocre, and there isn't much worth mentioning.

For the records, it is the first time I have spent more money in eating than in shopping in Bangkok. As a matter of fact, I realize that the apparels in Singapore are getting way better than in Bangkok, which explains the lack of motivation in shopping this time round.

Both Wilson and Matthew brought us to experience river cruising. It was an eye opener for us, as we met people from all walks of life over there. I have to say, one awful part of the experience was the monstrous crowd. So if anyone who's interested in river cruising, make sure to stay close to your loved ones when you are there.

The four of us decided to "invest" on different food and share among us such that we're able to try a tad of their different delicacies.

Later, we went up to the roof of the cruise to have a good feel of the surrounding.

On the last day of the trip, I was having mixed feelings. On one side, I am missing my home, Singapore badly. On the other, I can't get enough of the fun times over here at Bangkok.

Checked out The Davis Hotel and did some last minute shopping before we head down to Chinatown for our last dinner in Bangkok.

Last mandatory shot at the airport with the group and our driver for the past 3 days!! Thank you "Bas" for the wonderful car journey chauffeuring us around and waiting for us at every places that we visited.

Special dedication to Wilson and Matthew for being such awesome tour guides, travel partners and gentlemen! Thank you for planning such wonderful and memorable trip! Thank you for treating us to the extravagant meals and spending a bomb in the clubs! And not forgetting all the small gestures like carrying our bags and waiting for us while we took out time shopping. It's been a wholly new experience and I must say I really had a lot of cray cray moments with them and soaking in the jacuzzi tub at 6am in the morning is one of the most YOLO thing we did. I hope to have more future travel trips with you guys!!

XOXO
