Hello readers, the wait is over! This is the long-awaited entry on my Boracay trip with Gushcloud. Looking back at the photos, everything seemed surreal to me as I reminisced over the beautiful moments. It was like a dream come true. On my part, I will try to do justice to my wondrous experience by sharing my heap of photos.
For starters, I would like to give thanks to Gushcloud for the exclusive sponsorship to Boracay. I couldn't express my gratitude enough for being a part of this big family and consequentially getting to know these lovely family members - Sheena, Freda, Xuen and Audrey. Thank you Gushcloud for this well-planned trip, and indeed a memorable one for myself.
Following suit, a big thank you to Tigerair for the magnanimous sponsored flight. It was a safe and pleasant journey to Boracay! For your information, Tigerair provides flight to many destinations including Yangon,a former capital of Burma (Myanmar)! Well, Yangon is the country's largest and most significant commercial centre. It has
many cultural delights and excellent sights, including religious monuments, museums, parks and the Bogyoke Market. For a change, I might consider visiting Yangon to experience a different face of South-East Asia, and to admire the holiest golden shrine Shwedagon Paya, which is said to contain 8 hairs of the Buddha. Yangon is definitely a place worth visiting if you ever want to go to Myanmar. (Click for more)
Last but not least, many kudos to The District Boracay for providing the finest luxurious accommodations, exquisite service and stunning views of the beach. It is considered well-located for the wide accessibility to many other places, and yet preserving the beauty and serenity of the beach. (Click for more)
Here is a mandatory shot of the sky view on board. I'm blessed to have Kife keeping me company for this trip. He has been an entertaining companion throughout, full of his one-of-a-kind antics.
After the 3 hour-long flight to Kalibo airport, we made our way to the hotel by bus. By the time we arrived the hotel, the night has fallen.
The well-appointed hotel room is a designer chic that also provides a cosy feel, close to the feeling of home. In addition, my room was located at level one, which saved me the trouble to take the lift or the stairs throughout my stay.
Day 2
Totally knocked out and didn't manage to wake up for their breakfast. What a waste, it must be! Got up eventually and prepared for an island touring. The moment I stepped foot out of the hotel, I was simply awed. The view was unparalleled - the sea water was like a mirror to the blue sky and the enticing white sand was refreshing to the eyes, but alas, the sun showed no mercy. I was compelled to buy a beach hat to ward off the sunlight from my face.
Captured a few shots with the bloggers before we moved on for our activity of the day!
First up, it was S-N-O-R-K-E-L-L-I-N-G! Took some time to contain my excitement as it was my virgin experience. Probably because I am a first timer, I had slight difficulty in breathing through the equipment and hence end up being a fearful experience! With that said, I still manage to calm my nerves in time to enjoy the company of fishes swimming by and through the crystal clear water, the sea corals looked equally amazing.
By lunchtime, we dropped by Pinka island. The amount of food served was tremendous just as the required room of improvement in their quality of the food. Enough said.
In general, it was a fun time well spent snorkelling, albeit physically draining. Dinner was settled at D'talipapa seafood market. They have an extraordinary concept way of dining, whereby you are required to shop for your preferred seafood which were all ALIVE and subsequently proceed on to their restaurant to have them cook to your own liking.
Pretty Lydia by my side!
After which, we wrapped up the day with a good massage at one of the hotel.
Day 3
Once again, my roomies, Lydia, Joanna and I have to pass the breakfast because we were so soundly asleep that despite the numerous alarms, we were still as dead as log.
Some of the bloggers went for cliff jumping while a handful of us (the lazy ones) just want to chillax and camwhore at the beach.
Thanks to Kife I have garnered a whole lot of alluring shots that I will definitely keep and refer to once in a while to reminisce the moments over here at Boracay.
Took a timely shot of the Sunset view. It was comparable to the ones you would find on Google Images search on Sunset. It was a privilege of a getaway at this beautiful island, showcasing Mother Nature at its best.
Dinner was at Cyma! A cosy and nice restaurant recommended by many! The food was delectable, in particular their prawn pasta! It's creamy and tasteful! We ordered different dishes on the menu to share around and everyone gets a taste of them all. Thanks Gushcloud for the scrumptious meal!
Day 4
A pat on my shoulder please! Finally, on the last day of the trip, we managed to wake up for the hotel breakfast! It's such a pity that I've been missing out so much on the food!!! OMG! International buffet catered and this is their signature omelette that everyone is singing its praises!!
It was so nice and thoughtful of the hotel to issue us all a personalized luggage tag with our names on it! A final burst of our camwhoreness before leaving this place!

Lastly, we got the chance to tour around the hotel! And this is the hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone who intends to visit Boracay! Nestled at the centre of the island, The District- Boracay is a beachfront resort hotel that offers royalty kind of service to their guests. Besides all the plus points that I have mentioned earlier about the location and sceneries it offered, I would like to emphasize that their staffs are amiable who will go for the extra mile to serve you. Certainly, this good impression and experience will deserve a top position in my list if I ever revisit Boracay.
Thanks Lydia and Joanna for being such pleasant roommates and tolerating my untidiness and ugly no make-up look at night. Both of you are the best!!
All well ends well. Time to knock off the post-vacation blues. Leave these wonderful memories deep in my heart as there are more to come for sure! Move on Berlin!
XOXO
